SPH are architects and interior designers known for combining design excellence with strategic insight and commercial understanding. When we began working together, their existing website and visual identity no longer reflected the quality, maturity, or depth of the studio’s work.

The objective was to refine SPH’s positioning and establish a clearer, more confident brand system — one that placed their built work and expertise at the centre of the identity, while supporting future growth. I led brand and digital design across the project, working collaboratively on positioning and strategy during the discovery phase.

Brand System

Brand positioning was developed collaboratively through a series of discovery workshops with Sounds Like Design, aligning on how SPH should present itself — considered, confident, and grounded in real projects and expertise.

Working from this strategic foundation, I led the design direction and development of a refreshed visual identity. The system centred on clarity and restraint, with a refined logo and a new graphic language built around a masking approach. Imagery from SPH’s completed projects was used to form and inform the brand mark itself, positioning the studio’s body of work as the foundation of the identity.

Typography, colour, and layout principles were intentionally understated, designed to support architectural imagery rather than compete with it. The result was a flexible system capable of scaling across digital and print while remaining unmistakably SPH.

Rollout

The brand system was applied across SPH’s digital presence, beginning with a new website designed to champion the studio’s projects and thinking.

The site structure allows multiple images and video per project, with flexible filtering to enable users to explore work across typology, scale, and discipline. All website photography was colour graded to ensure consistency across projects and team imagery, reinforcing a cohesive visual language throughout the experience.

In addition to showcasing completed work, the website placed greater emphasis on SPH’s strategic capability — clearly articulating services, expertise, and creating space for ongoing industry insights and commentary.

Following launch, I supported the studio with additional marketing materials and documented the visual system in a set of clear brand guidelines. This ensured the team could apply the identity confidently and consistently as the practice continues to evolve.
